Huma Sheikh DDS, MS

Dr. Sheikh has been practicing dentistry for over 14 years. She previously owned & operated a successful dental practice in Morrisville, NC, for nearly nine years. She is now proud to be a part of Providence Family Dentistry & enjoys collaborating with Dr. Glover & his team.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, Dr. Sheikh pursued both a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) & a Master of Science in Operative Dentistry. Her passion for research & academia led her to conduct extensive studies on dental materials, resulting in two published papers focused on composite resins & their adhesive properties. During her postgraduate work, she was honored with the Ann & G. Randolph Babcock Fellowship Award, providing additional funding for her research.

Dr. Sheikh’s clinical interests lie in esthetic rehabilitation & smile reconstruction, helping patients regain confidence & a renewed outlook on life. As an adjunct assistant professor at UNC School of Dentistry, she dedicated herself to mentoring dental students, guiding them in developing the clinical skills essential to their future success.

Though originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Sheikh has called North Carolina home for the past 20 years. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys running, barre workouts, art, reading & spending time with her husband, son & daughter.
